Yohan Lidon (born March 28, 1983) is a French Muay Thai kickboxer who is famous for his aggressive fighting style and knockout power.[1] He is a 3 time world champion in Muay Thai and kickboxing - including being the first ever (and current) It's Showtime 73MAX world champion.
Biography and career
Early life
Yohan Lidon was born on 28 March 1983. He started practicing muay thai at the age of 15. Lidon resides in Lyon, France and trains at Gym boxing St-Fons in Lyon, Saint-Fons. His trainer is Nasser Kacem.
He discovered the martial arts with Bruce Lee, Van Damme and Ninja Turtles. His Thai boxing debut, he has seen on television in his apartment in Saint-Priest, the stars in their eyes and dreams in his head. Impressed by the spectacular dimension combat, it was love at first sight. "Since the day I started Thai boxing, I have never stopped", said Yohan Lidon.
Early career
The first time was in 1998, he was 15. If starts kickboxing to Corbas, for lack of Thai boxing club nearby, he returns quickly to his first love, meeting Nasser Kacem, his current coach at Saint-Fons.
Here, everything goes. Drives : three, four, five sessions per week. Then two by day. Fighting. The victories in 2001 at age 18, he became champion of France of Thai Boxing.
Travel : Following his title, Yohan received the award young talent in the city of Saint-Priest and offered a trip to the origins of his passion, Thailand. He explained: "I needed to go after my passion, whether I was made for this sport, if I had the capacity to succeed." He leads them like locals, sleeping on a mattress on the floor. It was hardened, gaining technical and speed.
More... In nine years, three championships world and he keeps a cool head. To exercise his passion, Yohan shares his time between training and working as an educator for mayor.
Dreams, he has again : fight, always win more titles, create a Thai boxing club in Saint-Priest to construct a large house with a pond to catch fish. "Simple and straightforward" this is how he describes himself, so he really is.
